Privacy Policy

The short version

We keep it minimal. No ads. No cookies. No account required. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site — nothing more. Your game data stays on your device.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, general location (country/city level), device type, and referral source. This helps us understand which games are popular and how to improve the site.

• No advertising features are enabled
• Data is used solely for site improvement

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

What data we collect

We collect as little as possible. Here's the complete picture:

• Anonymous analytics — via Google Analytics 4: page views, approximate location (country/city level), device type, browser, and referral source. No personally identifiable information is included.
• Game state (local only) — your puzzle progress, streak counts, and win stats are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device.

We do not collect: names, email addresses, IP addresses tied to your identity, behavioral profiles, advertising identifiers, or any information that could personally identify you.

What we don't collect

• No cookies beyond what Google Analytics uses
• No tracking pixels
• No advertising identifiers
• No server-side logging of your activity
• No account required — ever

Local storage

Game progress, stats, and settings are saved in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device — it is not sent to any server, not synced to a cloud account, and not accessible to us. You can clear it at any time from within each game's settings, or by clearing your browser data. Clearing your browser data will reset all your game streaks and stats.

Third-party services

The only third-party service we use is Google Analytics 4 for anonymous traffic insights. We have explicitly disabled all advertising features and remarketing in our GA4 configuration. IP addresses are anonymized by Google before any data is stored.

We use no other third-party services. No ad networks, no social media widgets, no embedded third-party fonts that phone home, and no CDNs that track users. All assets are self-hosted.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Children's privacy

PuzzleBoxs does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13 years of age. The site contains no ads, no social features, no account registration, and no forms that could collect personal data. The anonymous analytics we use (Google Analytics 4) collects no personally identifiable information from any user, including children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, please contact us at callme@puzzleboxs.com and we will address it promptly. PuzzleBoxs is designed to be a safe, ad-free environment for players of all ages.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We don't anticipate significant changes — our commitment to a no-ads, minimal-data approach is fundamental to what PuzzleBoxs is. But if we ever do make a meaningful change (for example, adding or removing a third-party service), we'll note it clearly here.
